Our Experience Matters

Our experienced ICBC lawyers Langley work as both trial and appellate counsel and are known for their uncompromising excellence in the courtroom. Focusing on ICBC claims, Yearwood – Dyson* Lawyers is on the forefront of ICBC litigation in BC.

If you have a personal injury claim and are thinking about suing ICBC, call us first. Our ICBC lawyers have the experience you will need. We know how ICBC works and, therefore, know how to get you the fair settlement you deserve. Don’t try to handle it all on your own.

You Deserve Fair Compensation Regardless of Age

If you are over 60 years old, your age should not disentitle you from getting fair compensation from ICBC for your car accident injuries. In a 2014 case, our lawyer Chris Dyson successfully argued at trial that a 62-year-old shipper/receiver would have continued working on a part-time basis to age 67. ICBC disagreed and took the position that the plaintiff had retired and would have stayed retired regardless of the motor vehicle accident.

ICBC’s final offer was $50,000 plus court expenses. Mr. Dyson and the client went to trial and received a successful judgment in the amount of $146,032.12 plus the court expenses and (after another negotiation following the trial) double the usual court costs. Read the judgement given by the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Professional Guidance

We know the stress that comes from personal injury. Rest assured, we are here to alleviate that for you. We are here to listen, answer questions and guide you through the entire legal process. We are flexible with our schedules and are willing to accommodate you and your schedule—even traveling to your home or the hospital.

For each new client, we offer a free one-hour interview. We use this time to listen to your concerns and discuss the claim. This is the first step in the claim process as well as a perfect time to ask questions and bring any concerns you may have. This is an important meeting as it helps to help determine if your case is meritorious or valuable.

No Payment Unless You Are Compensated

Some other ICBC lawyers in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows charge clients looking to sue ICBC a fee basis. This fee ensures that the attorney gets paid whether or not you are compensated. At Yearwood – Dyson* Lawyers, we don’t charge our clients this way. You are not required to pay fees unless you are compensated. Simply put: we don’t get paid unless you do.

If you would like an attorney to look at your case, give us a call or fill out our Personal Injury Evaluation Form. We look forward to discussing your case. Yearwood – Dyson* Lawyers service areas include: Surrey, Vancouver, Coquitlam, Langley, Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.
